Prince Harry's heartbreaking confession about his mother, Lady Diana

His mother's death, when he was 12 years old, marked him terribly and, at one point, he had to undergo therapy to overcome depression. The accident in Paris took place on the evening of August 31, 1997.

Harry, who was on vacation with his father and brother at the time, reacted terribly when he heard the terrible news. For a long time he refused to accept the idea that he would never see Diana again. It was only at the age of 28 that he went to a therapist to be able to solve his mental health problems.

In the interview with Oprah he opened his heart, as he never did for the press.

"For me, therapy has prepared me for anything," said Prince Harry. He showed that, after the drama he went through after his mother's disappearance, he found himself reliving with Meghan the same harassment sequences of the scandalous press and the paparazzi. And when asked if he has any regrets, he admits that he did not take a stand earlier on the issue with Meghan Markle: "History repeats itself. My mother was followed to death while she was in a relationship with someone who was not white. And now look what happened. Want to talk about repeating history? They won't stop until he dies. It would be incredibly painful to lose another woman in my life. It's like the list is growing. And everything comes back to the same people, the same business model, the same industry ”.

Prince Harry, confession about the memories of his mother's funeral

The youngest son of Prince Charles and Diana confessed to the famous TV director the memories that stir him whenever he thinks of his mother. He most often remembers the scenes in which Princess Diana was followed by the paparazzi, and he was in the car with his brother, William.

She was driving, and their car was being chased by five paparazzi on motorcycles. "She was almost unable to drive because of tears. There was no protection. One of the feelings that always haunts me is helplessness. "That's what happened every day until the day he died."

What she remembers most at her funeral is the sound of horses' hooves on the sidewalk as they pulled her coffin into a carriage.

"It was as if I was out of my body, walking along, doing what was expected of me… showing a tenth of the emotion that everyone else was showing. This is my mother. And you didn't even meet her. I didn't want to think about her, because if I think about her, I will reveal the fact that I can't bring her back and that will only make me sad ".

Recounting all this, Prince Harry wanted to motivate his decision to leave the Royal Court and Great Britain, despite all the voices that criticized him. "It's a lot of pain and genetic suffering, they are transmitted, so parents should think. "This happened to me," he said.

Cherry and chocolate cake

Cherry and chocolate cake & # 8211 A pretty quick and easy enough cake to make.

Cake top, chocolate cream, a little syrup and cherries / go well with cherries

Cake top

1/3 teaspoon baking powder

Chocolate cream

700 ml sweetened liquid cream & # 8217

Optional & # 8211 Syrup (it is not necessary to syrup, the top is airy and fluffy, it also draws from the moisture of the cream and it is ok and without syrup)

a teaspoon of vanilla extract

In addition 250 g cleaned cherries

Preparation Cherry and chocolate cake

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

Mix the egg whites with the salt then gradually add the sugar. Mix until the sugar is completely diluted.

Rub the yolks with oil and water. Add them over the egg whites.

Add the sifted flour with cocoa and baking powder and then mix lightly, stirring from the bottom up.

Pour the composition into a square cake form with a side of 2o cm (it can be round with a diameter of 20-22 cm), wallpapered, level and put the tray in the preheated oven, over low heat, for 30-35 minutes (fa toothpick test).

When it's cold, after a few good hours or even the next day, slice the top into three equal parts.

Milk chocolate cream

Heat the whipped cream in a saucepan. Leave until it reaches boiling point (without boiling!) Then turn off the heat.

Put the broken chocolate pieces, then mix vigorously until it becomes a homogeneous composition. I would not recommend bulk chocolate, the taste is incomparable :). Let the composition cool. Cold put it in the fridge for a few hours. It is ideal to cook it in the evening and leave it in the fridge until morning.

Remove from the cold and mix until it acquires a firm, fluffy and airy consistency.

Boil the water with the sugar and let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let it cool completely then add the vanilla.

Prepare a plate and place the first slice on the counter.

Lightly syrup and spread 4-5 tablespoons of cream then place washed cherries on top, peeled and lightly press into the cream.

Place the second slice on the counter, syrup, spread the same amount of cream and put cherries.

At the end of the meal

All I want this year is to be able to be with my loved ones whether we celebrate Easter or it's just a regular visit! Family and friends are the most important & # 8211 I had a hard time reaching this motto, especially since I was a bloodthirsty workaholic. But, I put the brakes on and thought about what really matters to me in life and I managed to create a balance!

It seems that we still remember the anxiety that overwhelmed us when, full of curiosity, we opened the kitchen door to see what my mother was preparing. Who didn't look forward to my mother finishing the cake to eat the cream left in the bowl? We still smile at the memory of the noise made by the spoon on the enameled vessel, in our attempt not to lose anything from delicious cream prepared only as my mother knew how to prepare it.

Even if the fast pace of daily existence no longer allows us to spend so much in the kitchen happily the tradition of preparation holiday sweets in the house, by the housewives, it still exists. The best cooking recipes for a cake

Especially for you. We have collected the simplest and most delicious recipes for making a cake. We hope you enjoy them.

Recipe without pastry biscuits

We bring you a very quick recipe for a delicious dessert. Can we bake a cake in 10 minutes? Looks like you can.

To do this, you need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • Boiled condensed milk - a box
  • 0.5 kg of any cookie (more crumbly)
  • Crushed walnuts - a glass
  • Poppy and chocolate for decoration.

Cookies are broken into small pieces and crushed to crumbs. Ideally suitable "Jubilee" or any sand. The process of making condensed milk is very long. This can take about 2 hours. If you want to make a cake from a cookie very quickly, you need to buy a jar of already boiled condensed milk.

Walnuts and biscuits are mixed with condensed milk. The resulting mass is spread on the prepared slide. How to decorate a cake? To do this, the prepared chocolate bar is melted in a water bath and poured dessert over them. Up with a good taste of poppy seeds. The collected cake is first left to infuse at room temperature for about half an hour, then cleaned in the refrigerator.

Cake gold without cream and milk

This is another recipe for a very quick dessert. To do this, you do not need milk, cream and even cooking dough. Intrigued? We'll make a corn cake at home from corn sticks. It is necessary to directly prepare candy canes and candies.

The toffee must be melted in a water bath until a thick syrup is obtained. Then the corn carrots are mixed with the resulting mass and form a dessert. A bite of corn sticks is ready.

You can decorate in any way: pour chocolate or sprinkle with nuts. It will take thirty minutes to impregnate and harden such a cake.

Delicious cake with coconut chips

If you can't always bake, you can use this very easy recipe. You can cook this dessert in just 15 minutes.

To do this, take the following products:

  • Butter (fresh) - 1 pack
  • 0, 5-0, 6 kg of sugar biscuits
  • Poppy 50 grams
  • 1. 5 cans of boiled condensed milk
  • A small package of coconut cane
  • vanillin
  • 75 grams of chocolate (better than milk).

You must first crush the cookie well. All ways are good. This can be done with the help of hands, a tip, a mortar or a blow. By the way, there's a little secret. In order for cookies not to fall all over the room, they should be placed in a regular plastic bag and then start grinding. Later, you have to pour the boiled core into the cup.

The soft butter is mixed with condensed milk, add poppy seeds, vanilla and mix well. To speed up the process, you can use a mixer. The resulting cream is combined with biscuits, mixed until smooth and spread with a narrow blade on the bowl. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

The chocolate bar should melt completely in a water bath and pour the finished cake. While the chocolate is not frozen, the dessert is sprinkled with coconut cane. That's all! Delicious and very cute cake for tea drinks is ready.

Honey cake with honey

To prepare a masterpiece of honey, you will need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • Chicken egg 1 pc.
  • Granulated sugar - glass
  • The milk is about 100 grams
  • Butter - a package
  • A bank of condensed milk
  • Honey - 3 tbsp
  • Walnuts - incomplete glass
  • Flour 4 cups
  • Soda, bled with vinegar.

Melt half the butter in a small saucepan and put the sugar in it. When the sand is completely dissolved and the resulting mass cools, milk and egg are added. Then pour in the extinguished juice and mix everything well (you can mixer).

Then add the flour to the mixture and knead a dough steep enough, gradually adding the flour so that it is not sticky. The pieces of dough are passed through a meat grinder and spread on a baking tray. By the way, it must first be covered with parchment. The base for the dessert is in the oven in a golden golden color.

For the cream, the remaining butter is beaten, gradually adding condensed milk. When the cream is ready, mix with small pieces of coriander and mix well. A cake without baking is poured through a slide and sent to the refrigerator for final hardening.

By the way, the cream can be cooked without condensed milk. To do this, melt a glass of honey, add half a glass of sugar. When the mixture is slightly thickened, you can collect a spicy treatment.

Me, Mom and a Cake with Poppy, Raspberry and White Chocolate

One of the first memories I have of her is some brown suede sandals, which I secretly wore when I barely knew how to tie my laces, because they looked beautiful to me. Then, at the end of the summer, she sewed and painted melted cloth blouses and skirts and made me dresses with ruffles. Many steering wheels. Then one winter when she was pulling me after her early in the morning on the way home, then the warm hand from my first day of school, the woven wreath of flowers for the third grade celebration or a face from the high school fence when she sent me to see my own note the BAC.

I was an independent child and a silent teenager and I don't have many concrete memories about my mother, because I didn't know how to put them aside. There are pieces of my life shrouded in a kind of fog without her face. But even so, from afar I felt that my mother was always there, she showed me that I can even when I didn't know how to send a sign to me.

I haven't always known what I want to be or do in life, but it's something I'm a little sure of lately. When I grow up, I want to be, among other things, my mother. With all her patience, with all her peace and optimism, with all her talent, with all the joy of living her passion for drawing and painting, with all the happiness with which she looks at us.

And I want something else. To show her at some point a piece of my sweet passion and how far I can go with it. And when I don't know how, to put it in a red cake, like this.

Cake with poppy seeds, lemon, raspberry and white chocolate

Ingredients for a cake 20cm / 8-10 servings

  • 90ml milk
  • 70g poppy seeds
  • 100g sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 85g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • peel of ½ lemon
  • 140g sugar
  • 2 egg whites

Lemon cream (adapted from Michel Roux):

  • 2 yolks
  • 60g sugar
  • 15g starch
  • peel and juice of 2 lemons
  • 30g cold butter

Raspberry jelly

  • 150g frozen raspberries
  • lemon juice
  • 50ml water
  • 30g sugar
  • 3g gelatin

White chocolate mousse with vanilla

  • 300g white chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 6g gelatin sheets
  • 240ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 300ml cream for whipped cream (minum 30% fat)

Mirror glaze

  • 35ml water
  • 75g sugar
  • 75g liquid glucose
  • 6g gelatin
  • 50ml condensed milk (or whipped cream)
  • 75g white chocolate
  • red food coloring (powder or gel)

Method of preparation:

Mix the poppy seeds with the milk and set aside.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt.

Beat the butter with the lemon peel and vanilla until creamy. Add the sugar and continue beating for another 3-5 minutes until it looks like foam. Add (alternating) the flour with the milk mixed with the poppy seeds, mixing well after each one until incorporated. Beat the egg whites (hard / Americans call them stiff peaks) and incorporate them with a spatula into the dough.

Bake the top in a tray lined with baking paper at 180C for 35 minutes or until the toothpick test passes. Let it cool for 15 minutes in the pan, then take it out on a grill to cool it completely.

* I bake the countertop the day before I start working on the rest of the cake components. He has enough time to cool down until the next day.

Start with raspberry jelly. I used whole raspberries and left it that way because I like how the whole fruit feels in the jelly.

Put the hydrated gelatin in cold water to cover it and in the meantime, place the frozen raspberries with the rest of the ingredients on a low heat in a suitable pot. Leave the mixture on the fire until the sugar melts and the mixture starts to boil. Be careful not to mix too much and too often, otherwise you will crush the fruit.

Take the mixture off the heat, let it cool for a few minutes and add the gelatin drained from the cold water. Mix well to dissolve it and set the mixture aside to cool completely.

In the meantime, take care of lemon cream. Put the lemon juice and peel on the fire to heat it, and in a bowl rub the yolks with the sugar and starch. When the lemon juice has warmed up, pour it through a strainer over the yolks in the bowl. Mix well and put back in the pot and back on low heat. Leave on the fire (stirring constantly) until it starts to boil and the cream binds. Remove from the heat and pass the cream through a thick sieve, then incorporate the cold butter into it.

Assembly (part 1)

Cut the lid and the base of the countertop (as thin as possible) so as to remove the colored parts (when baking) from the countertop. Cut the countertop in half horizontally. Prepare a cake ring (tray with removable walls) lined with rodoid foil. Place one of the worktops at the base, pour and spread the lemon cream over it, then the raspberry jelly and then place the second worktop. Put everything in the freezer for at least an hour.

After the raspberry jelly has hardened, remove the cake ring and rodoid foil and place the core of the cake thus formed in the cold, while you are preparing. white chocolate mousse.

Put the grated milk from the vanilla pod to the heat and the gelatin to hydrate in cold water. When the milk is about to boil, pour it through a sieve over the chopped white chocolate, over which you placed the well-drained gelatin before. Leave for 30 seconds and then mix with a silicone spatula until the chocolate is completely dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool completely, then put it in the fridge (I sometimes cheat and put it directly in the freezer) until it starts to look like a thick cream when you stir through it. refrigerator and about half an hour if you put it directly in the freezer.)

Now it's time to whip the cream and first incorporate a third of it into the cooled chocolate mixture. Then, incorporate the rest of the cream with a round wire until you get the mousse.

Assembly (part 2)

Place a cake ring (20cm) on a cake board or on a plate, line it with rodoid foil and pour a third of the white chocolate mousse. Carefully place the core of the cake prepared earlier from the countertop, cream and jelly. Pour the rest of the mousse over it, carefully (especially at the edges), so that the mousse reaches everywhere. (It would be best to place the mousse on the edge around the core and then pour the rest and level. Because I hate to wash extra dishes, I preferred to pour it carefully and fill all the gaps.)

Level the mousse on the surface with a spatula and refrigerate again (in the freezer) for 2-3 hours, until the mousse hardens.

** If it's already too much for one day, you can leave the cake in the freezer overnight and decorate it the next day. But it will take a little longer until you can cut it and serve at the optimum temperature.

For glazing

Hydrate the gelatin in cold water.

Mix the sugar, water and liquid glucose and put them on the fire until they reach 103C.

Pour the hot mixture over the finely chopped white chocolate. Add the well drained gelatin and stir to dissolve. Add condensed milk and red food coloring (A knife tip for powder dye or 2-3 drops for gel dye. The color depends a lot on the dosage of the dye and the quality / shade of the one you have. ) Carefully blend all this mixture (with an immersion blender) without forming air bubbles several times. Allow the mixture to cool to 35-40C before using.

Place the cooled cake on a grill and pour the prepared icing over its entire surface. (If it is not perfectly level on the surface you can cheat with this cake and you can turn it upside down, using the part that was on the cardboard / tray for icing). Decorate with candy or gold powder.

*** Let the cake reach the perfect consistency for serving for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. Only then can you cut it into slices and enjoy it.

In liquid icing, what can I replace glucose with?

In principle, this icing recipe cannot be replaced by liquid glucose. You can try to replace it with acacia honey or any very light honey.
If you want to buy liquid glucose, I last saw it in Selgros, in 400g jars.
