Cooking baked ham in the dough:

Step 1: Marinate the meat.

The taste of the resulting dish largely depends on the correct preparation and pickling of meat. It must be very carefully and well marinated: cover it with bay leaf, carefully salt, pepper (evenly over the entire surface area), then make small holes in the meat with a sharp knife and stuff it with garlic, and then proportionally spread with mustard. Wrap gently with cling film and refrigerate for 2.5 to 3 hours.

Step 2: Cook the dough.

Before cooking, gently and thoroughly knead yeast-free dough: for this, add salt and water to the flour. The dough should be homogeneous and tight consistency. Divide the dough into 2 parts and roll it, the thickness of the layer should be approximately 0.5 cm. Put one sheet on a baking sheet, put the previously pickled meat on top in the center, cover with another layer, tighten the edges of the dough well and carefully. This is necessary so that the integrity of the dish is not compromised, and the baking process is carried out properly. Wrap the dish with foil.

Step 3: Bake the stuffed dough in the oven.

Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees, bake the dish for about 2 - 3 hours, depending on what size piece of meat you have (on average it takes about 2.5 hours).

Step 4: Serve the boiled pork baked in the dough.

After baking, when the dish is ready, carefully remove the foil, cut the meat with a fork and a sharp knife. You can sprinkle it with grated horseradish, it will give a special taste. Serve boiled pork can be hot or cold. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - You can garnish the dish with boiled potatoes and stewed cabbage.

- - Clearly observe the temperature regime during cooking to preserve the perfect taste and aroma of the resulting dish.

- - Correctly choose only good and fresh meat, since the taste of the resulting dish directly depends on this!

- - The top of the dough can be greased with yolk. Then, in finished form, it will have a delicious yellow tint.

- - In the choice of meat, give preference to neck cutting, since this part is most suitable for this dish.
